Privacy Policy
Last updated: February 22, 2026
SimHabit ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use the SimHabit mobile application.
Data Storage
Your habit data is stored locally on your device using an on-device SQLite database. We do not have access to your habit data unless you explicitly sign in to enable cloud sync.
Cloud Sync
If you choose to create an account and sign in, your data will be synced to our cloud servers powered by Supabase to enable cross-device synchronization. This data includes:
- Your habits and their configurations
- Habit completion logs
- Custom areas/categories you create
- Your email address (if provided during sign-in)
Authentication
We offer sign-in via email (one-time code), Google Sign-In, and Apple Sign-In. We only store the minimum information required for authentication — your email address and a unique user identifier. We do not store passwords.
Analytics
We use PostHog to collect anonymous usage analytics to improve the app experience. This includes:
- App usage patterns (screens viewed, features used)
- Device type and OS version
- App version
We do not use analytics to track you across other apps or websites. You can opt out of analytics at any time in the app's Settings.
No Advertising
SimHabit does not display advertisements and does not share your data with advertisers or third-party ad networks.
Data Deletion
You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from the app's Settings > Profile screen. When you delete your account:
- All your cloud-synced data is permanently deleted
- Your local data is cleared from the device
- Your authentication credentials are removed
Alternatively, you can use the app without an account, in which case all data remains only on your device.
Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services:
- Supabase — Authentication and cloud database (data stored in the US)
- PostHog — Anonymous usage analytics (opt-out available)
- Apple Sign-In / Google Sign-In — Authentication providers
Children's Privacy
SimHabit is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
